Research Inquiries

Ilitha Labantu is open to and values participation in research projects. Due to our limited resources, we will prioritize responses to research inquiries that align with our ongoing research interests. If you do not receive a reply from us within two weeks, please understand that we are unable to accommodate your research proposal.

Researchers wishing to involve Ilitha Labantu in their studies should provide the following information:

• The request to participate in a study must be presented on the official letterhead of the institution or department conducting the research, be it an academic faculty, research institute, or government body.

• The proposal must have the endorsement of a supervisory figure or a senior researcher at the institution.

• The ethical considerations relevant to the research must be clearly outlined.

• Assurance that Ilitha Labantu will receive a copy of the research findings is required.

• The research methodology should be detailed enough to inform participants about what is expected of them, enabling them to make an informed decision about their participation.

• It should be clearly demonstrated how the research will benefit both Ilitha Labantu and the broader fields of health and welfare, considering that participants would be contributing their time during work hours.

• Formal approval from the designated manager at Ilitha Labantu must be obtained before any research activities commence.
